May resulted in 2 excellent Kembla Grange winners, courtesy of two of our up and coming 3yo’s: The Guru and Eberlee. The Guru then stepped up to Saturday city grade with a fantastic 3rd placing at Randwick
The month kicked off with River Charge placing 3rd in the historic Wagga Guineas whilst King Tat, Jarrett, Eberlee and River Charge also posted further placings
We have had some our 2yo’s stepping out in trials and jump outs and getting close to making their race debuts, stable star Monegal will be back at the races in the next couple of weeks, whilst our yearlings continue to impress through the breaking in process.
Some restrictions are continuing to be eased and look out on Saturday at Randwick if “The Guru” owners are on course!!!
The Guru at Randwick Eberlee wins her Maiden
The Scone Yearling Sale has been moved to the Riverside Sales complex at Warwick Farm on the 5th July, a little closer to home but I will miss our weekend away in Scone.
The month ended on an absolute high when I received a text message from legendary race caller, John Tapp, requesting to write a story about my foray into horse racing. It was an absolute honour to be able to spend well over 2 hours on the phone with Mr Tapp, he is a remarkable person to talk to.
