It was a slightly quieter month on the racing front. However the team performed well adding a further 2 wins, bringing our season tally to 20.
Foxtrot Bravo broke through for a very well deserved win at Nowra. It had been just over 2 years since Fox’s last win in the Adrian Ledger Memorial although he has collected many placings in between. Well ridden by Winona Costin, Fox relished the drop back in class and the 2200m. He hit the line strongly to record career win number 3.
Eberlee also added her 3rd career win with a very gutsy effort at Sapphire Coast. Settling outside the leader, Chloe showed a lot of determination in the straight to hold off stable mate Victory At Omaha who was very brave with 62.5kg. They gave us a quinella in the final race of the day.
Alan finished 2nd in the Easter Cup at Moruya on the 8th April whilst Inspired Dream (Sapphire Coast) and Skaifee (Moruya) also added 3rd placings to their records.
Maddison’s Missile showed big improvement to finish 4th at Sapphire Coast whilst the first of our 2yo’s to hit the track, Iconic Miss (by Prized Icon), debuted with a very pleasing 4th at the same meeting.
We have a couple of our 2yo’s heading to the jump outs this month and Vain Invader will return to the races.
The sales season continues and this month was our “favourite sale” the HTBA Sale at Riverside. We came home with 5 lovely fillies by proven sires: Headwater, Star Turn, Sooboog and Winning Rupert and a filly by exciting first season sire, Exceedance. The fillies have all arrived safely at Kooringal Stud and will have a short break before heading to the breakers.
Our earlier yearling purchases continue to head to the breakers with the Prized Icon / Pisa and Prized Icon Albakoor fillies currently at the breakers.
