February has been a busy month. It started with the two day Sapphire Coast carnival – where Monegal broke through in style for a well overdue and deserved Maiden win by 6.25 lengths.
Titaness ran a super race in the Bega Cup to finish 4th. We have had a frustrating run of 2nd placings during the month, with Halliday Road adding a further 3 x 2nd placings, Taqueda added 2 x 2nd placings including a photo finish defeat at Nowra last start, whilst Mickey Jay also collected another 2nd. Our 2yo’s are making good progress with The Guru successfully completing an official barrier trial, and our Stryker / Lady Diva and Sidestep / Play of Light fillies going great in a jump out and ready to head to the trials.
We also attended the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and purchased a lovely More Than Ready filly out of a Danehill mare that has already produced 6 winners including a Stakeswinner and a city winner.
We have a number of new horses joining the stable in the coming weeks and have some new ownership and lease opportunities available in a variety of horses from yearlings – 2yo’s – tried race horses.
