What a fantastic and successful weekend at the 2 day Bega Cheese Bega Cup Carnival at the beautiful Sapphire Coast. Our team performed very well over the 2 days of competitive racing and we were able to come home with 2 winners, 2nd in The Bega Cup, 3rd in The Sapphire Coast Cup and a couple of 4th’s 🏆🐎🌟.
Club Legend kicked the weekend off, superbly ridden by Brock Ryan, and relishing the wet conditions to win over 1400m first up.
Magico Hombre started off Day 2 in the same manner, for a tenacious win for Jess Taylor. Golly I’m Lucky was brilliant in The Bega Cup rattling home to finish 2nd after missing the start by 3 lengths.
Foxtrot Bravo showed plenty of heart in the Sapphire Coast Cup over 2200m, taking a big step up in class and distance and was very brave in finishing 3rd. Alan and Halliday Road ran honest races in finishing 4th whilst Deni Gal was good on debut finishing 5th.
We were very proud to sponsor 2 races over the carnival and a big thank you to all at The Sapphire Coast Turf Club for the excellent hospitality. A huge thank you to our “cheer squad” who create plenty of atmosphere at the races and are great to be around for the weekend … we love you all and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend 😍. Congratulations to our winning owners and our whole team for their hard work and support. We look forward to heading back for the 2 day carnival next year.
