Exciting yearling ownership opportunities

Bateup Racing are offering the opportunity to share in the ownership of two quality yearlings by first season sires Invader and Russian Revolution after the confirmation of their training at the stables.

Both horses have passed the scope test and have sale X-Ray reports which are low risk (the best rating available).

Invader x Vain Elaine Colt

Invader and his Son.

Invader, by Champion sire Snitzel, won the Group 1 Sires Produce at Randwick over 1400m. Unluckily scratched from the Golden Slipper due to a stone bruise, he blitzed them two weeks later in the Sires Produce. In doing so, he beat fellow Group 1 winning Snitzel colts, Summer Passage and Trapeze Artist

Invader is a first season sire and has been well supported by commercial breeders. He will be strongly represented at this year’s Inglis Classic and Premier Sales. More details on Invader are available here.

A video of this colt is available on the Magic Millions Pedigree page here and you can also see a video of Invader by selecting him in the alphabetical list of stallion parades here. While they are a different colour, there are a lot of similarities between this colt and his dad. They have the same strength and muscling and, perhaps most importantly, the same loose, athletic walk.

Vain Elaine

Vain Elaine won 5 races including the Nowra Cup and a midweek race at Warwick Farm, both over 1600. She is a half sister to a stakes placed horse and from a strong, New Zealand classic family.

Vain Elaine is by top sire High Chaparral. This gives the pedigree a blend of Invader’s precocious 2-year-old speed and High Chaparral’s classic, middle distance line which is represented by his sons like So You Think, Dundeel and Toronado.

This pedigree mix is reflected by the well-established nick between Northern Dancer’s great sons Danehill and Sadlers Wells through the sire lines of Snitzel and High Chaparral.

Russian Revolution x Buckleupbuttercup Filly

This filly is another striking, strong representative of the Snitzel sire line and is from a very commercial family creating significant scope for residual value.

If you like the idea of racing a grey, here is your opportunity. As the photo below shows, her coat is well on the way to turning grey just like her mum’s.

Russian Revolution

Russian Revolution was a top sprinter by Snitzel. He won 7 races, including the Group 1 Galaxy and Oakleigh Plate.

He is from a stallion’s family, descending from the great mare Franfreluche whose descendants include Encosta De Lago and Flying Spur.

This filly is from Russian Revolution’s first crop when he stood at a stud fee of $55,000.

You can see further information about Russian Revolution including a video here.

Buckleupbuttercup

Buckleupbuttercup is an imported US mare who won 7 races including at Group 2 and Group 3 level. She has had 2 foals to race for 2 winners.

This is a very commercial family. Buckleupbuttercup’s yearlings have sold for big money including one for $525,000, another for $210,000 and another for $130,000. This suggests good scope for residual value if this filly or any of her close relatives do well on the race track.
