We have continued our good start to 2026 with 9 winners for the stable since the 1st January!!!
February kicked off in fine style with Lady Yarrow and Brundee Tom producing a stable double at Sapphire Coast.
London Star was back in the winners’ stall with a well-deserved win at Queanbeyan on the 17th February when given a great ride by Amy McLucas.
March began with another Sapphire Coast double. Eltrum led all the way on debut for a dominant win over 1000m for Amy McLucas (with Farsain making up nice ground in the straight to finish 2nd at only her second race start). Sablonneuse brought up the second win on the day with a very smart ride by Brock Ryan. Freddie has now recorded 2 wins in three starts for this preparation.
Tartana has been racing in great heart with solid performances in Midways. On the 7th February, Dolly ran 4th at Randwick over 1600m. Dropping back to 1500m at Rosehill on the 21st February, she had to chase down a tearaway leader and was very brave, finishing 2nd.
Sir Sublime has been quite honest this preparation and gave a great sight at Goulburn on the 12th February when just run down to finish 3rd beaten 0.2 length.
Lady Yarrow was very honest at Nowra on the 22nd February when finishing 4th and will be our sole representative for the Provincial / Midway Championships, lining up in the heat at Hawkesbury on the 7th March.
March will be another busy month on the racing front, and we look forward to cheering home more winners. The Albury Cup carnival is on the 19th and 20th of March and at this stage we are likely to have runners.

Racing Reports
Sablonneuse stepped straight into a 3yo Benchmark 65 for the Canberra Guineas Preview after his good first up win at Sapphire Coast. Freddie didn’t get a lot of luck in running and was not disgraced in a good line up.
He returned to Sapphire Coast on the 1st March in a Benchmark 58 over 1400m. Sitting outside the leader and with the aid of a very smart ride by Brock Ryan which kept the favourite in a pocket, Freddie drew away to win by almost 2 lengths. Freddie has now made it 2 wins from 3 starts this preparation and has plenty of improvement to come. He will also appreciate stepping up in distance. He is likely to head to Kembla on the 13th March in a Midway Benchmark 64 over 1600m.
London Star drew barrier 1 at Queanbeyan on the 17th February and, with a lovely ride by Amy McLucas, travelled strongly behind the leaders. London gave a good kick coming down the hill into the straight and burst through to take the lead and record her second career win. She continues to strengthen and improve with age and can definitely win more races.
Eltrum made his race debut at Sapphire Coast on the 1st March and what a debut it was!! From barrier 1, Turtle jumped fairly but was able to find the lead eventually. From there he took control of the race, gave a good kick into the straight and won easily. Turtle has taken a bit of time to mature but the wait has been well worthwhile. He may just be the fastest Turtle around! He will be better suited over a bit further and still has plenty of improvement to come.
Tartana put in a great effort at Randwick in a Midway over 1600m on the 7thFebruary. From an inside draw, Dolly was able to settle behind the leaders and fought on hard to finish 4th. Dolly then lined up in a Midway over 1500m at Rosehill on the 21st February. The tearaway leader strung the field out and Dolly was off the bit a long way out but she kept finding to finish a very gallant 2nd Dolly also had to survive a protest from the 3rd placegetter!
Lady Yarrow kicked off her preparation with an empathic victory at Sapphire Coast on the 1st March when she produced a dashing turn of foot over the 1200m
Harriet then gave a great sight at Canterbury over 1250m when probably ridden a little too forward outside the leader. However, she tried very hard as she always does. Then she put in an honest effort at Nowra on the 22nd February when finishing 4th beaten just under 2 lengths.
Kitty Okay stepped up to Benchmark 64 grade at Kembla on the 7th February following her dominant first up win and was far from disgraced. She didn’t get a lot of room in the straight but was beaten only 1.7 lengths.
Kitty then ventured to Warwick Farm on the 4th March where despite starting the outsider of the field, she ran a huge race to finish 2nd to the smart Just Maz, beaten only ¾ length. She has always shown good ability and is starting to furnish into herself this preparation.
Farsain returned to the races at Sapphire Coast on the 1st March with only a soft jump out under her belt. Fairy began well but Brock took hold and she settled behind the leaders over 1000m. She peeled widest in the straight and took a little while to find her legs but kept working to the line gamely to finish 2nd to stable mate Eltrum. Fairy will take a lot of improvement out of that run and shouldn’t take too long to find the winners stall.
Mr Fabulous lined up at Warwick Farm on the 4th March over 2110m following a freshen up after his good win at Kembla last month. Coming from last, Mr Fab hit the line with intent to finish 5th beaten only 2.4 lengths. He will now head to The Stayers Cup at Kembla Grange over 2400m on the 13th March.
Brundee Tom was a bit plain at Kembla on the on the 17th February over 1400m then raced honestly over 1600m at Wagga on the 28th February. Tommy is becoming a bit more dour and looking for further as he gets deeper into his preparation. He may head to Albury over 2000m during the Cup Carnival on the 19th March.
Sir Sublime has been racing very consistently this preparation and put in a very good effort to finish 3rd at Goulburn on the 12th February. Stubby found the front, gave a good kick into the straight and fought on very well to just miss in a 3 way finish.
North Star Miss returned to the races with a nice effort, finishing 5th in a Super Maidint at Sapphire Coast. Priscilla has developed a lot this preparation. She is still learning her craft but is going to develop into a lovely filly.
Rubilace relaxed much better at Wyong on the 26th February and worked home soundly to be beaten 2.6 lengths. She is now looking for further and will also be better suited back to a bigger track. Hopefully Anna continues to improve her racing manners and can finally knock off her Maiden.
Edorado was good at Newcastle on the 14th February over 1600m. Settling back in a slowly run race, Eddie kept finding the line and will now step up to 2000m at Hawkesbury on the 7th March.
Lindos didn’t handle the very heavy track at Nowra on the 8th February but ran a much better race at Sapphire Coast on the 1st March over 1200m. She will appreciate stepping up a little further in distance.
Frosted Amour settled at the back of the field over 1400m at Kembla on the 17th February and made up nice ground down the centre of the track. Frenchie is going to develop into a lovely filly next preparation.
Landmark Lady made up nice ground from last at Sapphire Coast first up over 1200m in a Super Maiden. Pisa appreciates getting over further and it was a good start to her preparation.
Pretty Please ran her usual honest race at Newcastle on the 14th February over 1890m beaten only 3.29 lengths in provincial grade. She then lined up at Goulburn on the 27th February over 2100m and sustained a very nasty tendon injury during the race. Peggy is being a good patient and will remain at the stables until she can go to the paddock. The injury will mean that Peggy is retired from racing and we will look to find her a good home.
Victory at Omaha ran a super race at Kembla on the 17th February, giving a lot of cheek. Just getting tired late, he was only beaten 2.6 lengths. Bro then lined up a Goulburn on a horrid track where he was three wide without cover and pushed even wider in the straight. He’ll be hard to beat in the right race next start.
Yes Arnie has had 2 runs back from a very long spell and has needed these runs. He will still need another run or two to reach peak fitness.
