March stable news

It has definitely been a different month at the races with protocols in place due to Covid 19. On a positive note, at least we are still racing. Fingers crossed, that with all of the measures that have been put in place, we will be able to continue racing.

The month started well with Freaky Freckles saluting at Sapphire Coast ahead of stable mate, The Guru. The Guru has gone on to add another 2 second placings to his record at Newcastle and Sapphire Coast, whilst Jarrett and River Charge also added placings to their records

Covid 19 is having a big impact on daily life and I hope that you are all keeping safe. I will endeavour to send through some videos and photos to keep you up to date with owners not currently being able to attend the races or the stables.

We’ll miss you Arrow

The old warrior Arrow’s Destiny has been retired and will have a “forever” home with Chynna Marston.

It won’t be the same without Arrow around the stables as he has been a part of our family for some 7 years

However, he is going to a great home where he will be thoroughly spoilt, and I will get regular updates on him.

Arrow retires with a race record of 53 starts for 6 wins (including the Bateman’s Bay Cup), 6 seconds and 11 third placings for $148,110 in prizemoney. Not too bad for a horse that was a rig and had a tendon injury as a 3yo. He leaves us with wonderful memories, and I look forward to seeing him succeed in the next phase of his career.
