Sandbar and his half-brother Farnan have hit the ground running as first-season sires. Coming off a modest stallion fee, Sandbar has impressed, producing the talented winners Shaggy and Dusty Bay.

This filly carries the same Sandbar/Encosta de Lago nick as this season’s very talented 2yo Shaggy.

The Encosta de Lago nick has also worked very well with both Sandbar’s sire Snitzel and his grand sire Redoute’s Choice.

Notable examples include Peeping, Invader, Alabama Express, and this year’s Golden Slipper winner, Marhoona.
