November Stable News

Wow, what a fantastic month for the Bateup Racing Team!!!  With only 17 starters for the month, we had 6 winners (including 3 on metropolitan tracks!!!) along with 2 x 2nds and a 3rd placing. I could not be prouder of our team.

The Guru kicked the month off with a tough win at Randwick on Melbourne Cup Day. He showed this was no fluke stepping up to Saturday metro grade at The Gong Meeting at Kembla and making it back to back victories with a superb effort over the 2000m.

Gong Day got even better when Divine Breath demolished the field in the Midway over 1400m (following her excellent 3rd placing in the Four Pillars). This was our first metropolitan double!!!

Both The Guru and Divine Breath were given great rides by Brock Ryan.

Monegal didn’t have a lot of luck in the final event on Gong Day, hitting the line strongly to finish 4th.

The winners continued the following Monday when Stryke Em Onesie won her Maiden at Wagga ridden by Madison Waters. Onsie showed great determination after improving at each start this preparation.

We finished the month with a trip to our favourite track, Sapphire Coast, and with 5 runners came home with another winning double courtesy of Shaka Rock and a scintillating performance by Crackalacka (both ridden by Jess Taylor). We came within a nose of having a treble on the day with Pindarra’s Dream denied in the final stride. Alan was very unlucky in finishing 5th behind Crackalacka while Hudoo Vudoo also put in a very pleasing performance first up.

I cannot believe we are already in December! From the whole team at Bateup Racing we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and joyous holiday season. We look forward to another successful year as we head into 2022.
