Magic Millions Yearlings 2023

Bateup Racing picked up three fantastic Yealings from the Gold Coast sale.

Welcome to the Bateup Racing Team “Arnie”. A strong well muscled colt by first season sire Yes Yes Yes out of the multiple winner producing Fastnet Rock mare, Chatham House.

We came home with another two beautiful yearlings from the final day of the 2023 Magic Millions Yearling Sale! “Gabbi” is an attractive and athletic filly by Shalaa with a strong pedigree that will have residual value as a brood mare after racing and was purchased from the Twin Hills draft. “Leo” is a great moving and athletic colt by Headwater, who will continue to develop into a lovely style of horse and was purchased from the Corumbene draft. Opportunities to be involved in racing our Magic Millions purchases (also including our Yes Yes Yes / Chatham House colt) are available.

Headwater Colt –”Leo”

An extremely athletic colt with a lot of scope. He is a November foal and is still immature in the body. However he is going to fill out into his frame and develop into a great style of horse. He is a beautifully fluent mover and covers the ground with ease.

He is by proven producer, Headwater, out of a winning Not A Single Doubt mare, Liamena who has produced 2 winners so far and has a 2yo by So You Think (it is currently unraced but the Matt Cumani stable have a good opinion of him).

A lovely type of filly with a great body and scope. She has a good overstep and is very athletic. She will still come up in the wither and has a great attitude.

By proven producer, Shalaa, out of a stakes winning Bel Esprit mare, Gabbidon, who has produced 4 winners from 5 foals to race. This filly has a good pedigree and offers residual value as a broodmare prospect.
