January Stable news

It has been a very frustrating 6 weeks with numerous race meetings abandoned due to the horrific bushfires across the state. This has led to interruptions to a lot of the programs of our horses up racing.

Sapphire Coast Carnival. We were able to take a team to the 2 day Sapphire Coast Carnival. Overall we had a successful carnival despite a couple of hard luck stories and hopefully now things will get back to some normality.

  • We were victorious in the $80,000 Bega Cup with our little superstar Monegal who boasts an impressive record of 4 wins and a 2nd from 5 starts at the beautiful Sapphire Coast race track.
  • Michael Oscar was nosed out right on the line.
  • Halliday Road, Fleeting Stryke and Sister Maree all ran super races and were all a bit unlucky not to finish a bit closer and
  • Taqueda collected a 3rd placing.

Trials and Jumpouts. We also had a big morning at the trials and jump outs on the 5th February with 11 horses going around. A number of these will now head to the races including a couple of our exciting 3yo’s.

The Inglis Classic Yearling Sale commences this Sunday 9th February. This is a fantastic sale and the new Inglis Sales Complex is fantastic.
