Golly I’m Lucky, AKA ‘Spider’, has produced a devastating turn of foot to power home to a 1200m victory at Nowra on Monday.
In the last race of the day, Moonshine showed early speed with Ms Jess Taylor holding a steady position. Making a run towards the home turn, Spider did it the hard way on the outside impressively lengthening to leave the field behind.
Spider had run a very good 3rd first up at Kembla on the 3rd August coming from a clear last and recorded the best overall sectionals for the race in the Benchmark 64 over 1200m.
Spider is quite promising and is likely to head to Kembla on the 7th September or Hawkesbury on the 12th September..
Golly I’m Lucky produced an outstanding effort (and a class record) to win the last race at Nowra today 🐎🐎🐎. A great ride by Jess Taylor and a big congratulations to Fay and Mick and was great to have you there to celebrate the win! “Spider” is maturing nicely and there is plenty of upside to him. Mickey Jay was very unlucky finishing 4th whilst Old Man’s Angel produced a much better effort to finish 5th. Well done team 🐎🐎🐎
