We
would like to acknowledge the passing of Gwenda Markwell. Gwenda passed
away on Friday following a battle with cancer and the funeral will be
held at Kembla Grange Race Course on Tuesday 8th November.
Gwenda
was one of the hardest workers I have come across, an exceptional
horsewoman and has been an integral part of Kembla Grange ever since I
arrived here 23 years ago. I witnessed the growth and development of her
stable from a small team to a dominating force in Kembla winning 19
local Premierships and producing Group winners such as Grand Zulu and
Angel of Truth. Gwenda will be greatly missed and we would like to pass
on our condolences to her family, friends and the whole team at Markwell
Racing.
