December highlights

December was another busy month of racing and produced a number of good performances.

Skye’s Legacy made an eye catching debut at Kensington on the 2nd December finishing 5th  She then headed to Sapphire Coast on the 27th December and recorded a well-deserved first win. “Lacey” is still quite raw but is a filly with a lot of potential and we look forward to the journey ahead with her.

Skye’s Legacy

Divine Breath added another metropolitan placing with a fast finishing 2nd place in the Midway at Rosehill on the 3rd December.

The Guru also added another metro placing with a gutsy 3rd in the Midway over 2000m at Randwick on Christmas Eve and took his career earnings over $300k (a healthy return on his $50k purchase price). Guru’s half-brother, by first season sire – Zousain, is being sold at the Magic Millions on the 14th January, and naturally he is on my short list!!!

Hope Uno continues to race consistently and added a further 2 placings with a fast finishing 2nd at Sapphire Coast which followed a good 3rd at Moruya.

Tartana took good benefit out of her debut effort at Canterbury to finish 3rd at Sapphire Coast at her second start.

Alan bounced back to form with 2 solid efforts finishing 3rd at Moruya and then 4th at Sapphire Coast, whilst Foxtrot Bravo also showed some of his old zest for racing finishing 4th at Sapphire Coast and on track to head to the Sapphire Coast Cup over 2200m during the Bega Cup carnival.
