We kicked off the new racing season in the best manner with
Monegal breaking through for a well deserved city win at Canterbury on the 7th August. Monegal almost made it back to back wins at Canterbury when charging late at Canterbury on
the 21st August to be beaten in a very deceptive photo finish.
Golly I’m Lucky produced an outstanding effort at Nowra on the 25th August unleashing a powerful turn of foot and running a class record to record his 3rd victory at only his 10th race start.
Jarrett continued to race consistently well adding another 2nd placing with a gallant effort at Wagga on the 11th August.
Joel also produced a good effort at Wagga to finish 3rd at only his second start for the stable.
Mickey Jay has finally matured this preparation and is in great form. Following on from his good first up win, he ran 3rd at Goulburn on the 12th August then was most unlucky in finishing 4th at Nowra on the 25th August
It is another busy month coming up :
- Fleeting Stryke is nearing a return to the races and will trial on the 4th September.
- Theresa Maree, Arrow’s Destiny and Halliday Road will all jump out and return to the races this month.
- Most of our babies have now been through the stables for their initial preparations and we have a very exciting bunch of young horses coming through.
