It was a quiet month on the racing front with not a lot of runners at the races.
Vain Invader continued to produce very honest, consistent performances in the metropolitan area. He finished 3rd at Canterbury in his first attempt over 1900m, and then backed that up with a good effort in the Midway at Rosehill on the 26th August when he finished 4th.
Stone Lizzie returned to the races with a good performance first up on a Heavy track at Wagga to finish 3rd
Barbarama gave a great sight at her first race start at Kembla over 1400m on the 26th August. She led and giving a lot of cheek at $151 to fiinish 4th beaten only 1.4 lengths.
We look forward to the month ahead, with Divine Breath set to resume at Rosehill on 9th September, whilst Crackalacka, Tartana and Hope Uno will resume later in the month.
The Guru, Mystic Diva, Proklisi, Fandeni, Mulvader, Nali and Magic Alwyns will step out at trials and jump outs this month as they get closer to returning to the races or making race debuts!
In very, very, very long awaited news it looks as though the renovations to our “B” grass track
(and then our Course Proper) at Kembla Grange are finally starting to
happen. Machinery and fill starting to arrive during the week.
Ultimately this will mean we will have a second racing surface on the
inside grass. We are likely to have a trainers meeting over the next
couple of weeks and I will continue to pass on updates as we find out
more!
